Last week Alex ter Horst has been appointed as the new managing director for Dancefair.
In recent years Alex has successfully co-founded an agency for vocalists and songwriters in the electronic music realm and prior to that he has worked in two of Holland’s biggest concert venues AFAS Live and the Ziggo Dome. Alex has also worked for an urban music label and he has graduated in both music production and management.
Alex has the exciting opportunity to help grow and innovate Dancefair and as he says himself he is itching to start: “It is a tremendous honour to join one of Europe’s leading conferences in electronic music. Norman and his team have built an incredible event over the past decade where artists, creatives, labels and brands from at home and abroad have gathered to share knowledge, expand their network and highlight their latest music. Besides putting Dancefair on the map internationally I also wish to make the conference more culturally diverse by providing a bigger platform for female industry professionals as well as including artists and labels from other genres and regions. Also I look forward to expanding the scope of the event by further exploring the intersection of music, brands, tech and esports. From its very inception, Dancefair has proven to be a great stepping stone for young artists and producers and I strive to offer burgeoning talent new opportunities to grow their knowledge and network while simultaneously better service the established music industry.”
Dancefair will this year take place on 9/10 May in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Early bird tickets are available until 1 February here.
