Romanian born Alex Preda is currently based in Amsterdam, music has always played a major role in Alex’s life and his listening preferences span the genre spectrum including such artists as, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Moderat, Royksopp, Enigma, Cafe Del Mar compilations and classical music. Gaining access to the multi-faceted music making programs like Ableton Live and Logic Pro, Alex effortlessly acquired an affinity to broadening his production skills.
Alex Preda facilely fuses together the conventional sounds of techno, tech house and deep house, to create a unique and melodic flavor that is distinctive to his style. Limitless in his creative process and consistently driven by the endless possibilities of music creation, Alex has an impeccable ability to demonstrate his burgeoning production skills that are more than there to merely churn out mindless, and expendable drivel. Recently, his momentum has risen to a steady and electric pace. This progression is mirrored in his release with Olivier Weiter ‘Zebra x Moods’, on WEITER Music and his remix of BOg’s ‘Rakuten’ on Bedrock Records. And this year further expanding his releases on Matador’s imprint, Rukus.
Alex has received support from DJs such as Hot Since 82, John Digweed, Miss Melera, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Olivier Weiter, Dimitri from Amsterdam and Paul Hazendonk.
