Ableton makes products for musicians to create, produce and perform music. These include Live, software that turns the music studio into an instrument; Push, a hardware instrument for playing and composing with Live; and Link, a technology for playing in time together. Ableton was founded in 1999 and released the first version of Live in 2001.
Since then, the company has attracted a diverse, worldwide community of dedicated users. Ableton’s headquarters are in Berlin, with additional offices in Los Angeles and Tokyo. The company is run by its founders and currently has about 270 employees.
